Jean joined the London National Professional Qualification for Headteachers (NPQH) team in 2001 as a serving head and remained in the team other than during her time at the British Council. During the term between leaving Hornsey School and joining the British Council she worked on the development and delivery of the NCSL programme for school business managers – Certificate of School Business Management and with Haringey LEA as a workforce remodelling advisor. She is also trained as a Leading from the Middle tutor. In 2003 she trained as an NCSL Consultant Leader.
